Local Schools
The Springfield Local School District serves the families of the Village of Lakemore and Springfield Township, Ohio. As of 2023, there are four public schools serving 1,850 students. The families of the district live in communities that are tight-knit and friendly with plenty of events and activities that bring people together. This makes the school district just the right size to offer plenty of student activities and services that support success – but small enough for every child to receive personalized attention.
“It’s a great place for children to enjoy an excellent education,” states Shelley Monachino, Superintendent of the Springfield Local School District.
“Our focus will be providing the best opportunities for our students to be successful both academically and socially. We want all students in grades Pre K-12 to have every possibility to be exposed to world-class education as well as differentiated experiences. Our goal is that every student who leaves us will have a viable plan to be either enrolled in post-secondary school, enlisted in service to our country, or employed in a solid, good-paying job with career possibilities.”
