Wednesday October 18th at 6:00 P.M. the Springfield Township Trustees will formally announce opening of a portion of the Spartan Trial completed on the grounds of Springfield High School. This will occur at the Trailhead on the south parking lot of the high school grounds.

This School Path portion of the Spartan Trail was developed with the cooperation of the Village of Lakemore and the Springfield Board of Education. It is part of our continuing efforts to connect Springfield and Lakemore, make our community more walkable and develop safe routes to school.

This event will be followed by the public meeting of the Living in Lakemore/Springfield Township Connectivity Plan, funded in cooperation with Akron Metropolitan Areawide Transportation Study (AMATS). The focus of the Plan is to improve bicycle, pedestrian, and transit connectivity to and from the Village of Lakemore and Springfield Township to surrounding neighborhoods and assets
